Homeless for the Holidays

Coxswain Media, LLC is deeply committed to supporting local communities on Cape Cod, and one of the most impactful ways they do so is through their involvement in the annual "Homeless for the Holidays" campaign. This initiative, which began in 2002, has grown into a significant regional effort, with Coxswain Media's PIXY 103 playing a pivotal role in its success. The campaign involves volunteers, including firefighters and police officers, camping out for 103 consecutive hours to collect donations of non-perishable food, new unwrapped toys, and monetary contributions. These donations are then distributed to local food pantries and charities across Cape Cod.

Veteran’s Top Shot Invitational

A prominent annual charity event held on Cape Cod, combining a golf tournament and a shooting competition to raise funds for veterans and military families. Since its inception in 2018, the proceeds of the event benefit Heroes in Transition and the Nicholas G. Xiarhos Memorial Fund, which support local veterans and their families. The golf tournament, typically held at Bayberry Hills Golf Course in West Yarmouth, features a 22-hole scramble-style format, a pig roast luncheon, and various raffles and auctions. The shooting competition takes place at Cape Gun Works in Hyannis. Notable participants have included World Class Long Drive competitor Justin Moose and PGA Tour golfer Jim Hallet. Coxswain Media plays a crucial role in promoting and supporting the event, leveraging its local presence to engage the community and raise awareness for the cause.
